Sevincy is an Istanbul based artist that has been producing works of contemporary art for the past 12 years. She experiments using different media and materials by creating sculptures (media sculptures), paintings and other art objects. Using methods that she developed herself, some creations can be found under the form of mixed media, digital or even videos.

Her sweet battle for freedom
Some artists hide messages behind layers of paint and mystical symbols, others want it to smack you in the face. Sevincy does both.
ROCKET comprises her latest masterpiece -- the rocket sculpture sketch from her 'WTF' series. ''This was at the time when I started to develop ideas about energy and matter. I then introduced my macaroons into the rocket sculpture as well as the spot lights: With all these different aspects I managed to transform the work completely”.
“In the rocket sculpture, you will notice a perpetual battle between the sweetness of the macarons and and the harshness of the rocket” – this gives the entire piece a captivating balance. “I always enjoy seeing how creation can come out of destruction”. She explains, “This is what I did for this piece”. However don’t get her wrong! Despite her admiration for sweet lovers, she is surprisingly conceptual.
